add image_tests = 0 and see what happens.

thanks for the reply, but I found the culprit : starting 2.0, 2.1,2.2, 2.3 without vmu inserted will not load the game (black screen after sega logo)

2.3: have someone found the engine sounds super low ? Is very similar to wipeout 3 balance:(
1.0 engine sounds was not accurate but the higher volume was good

This release fixes many more issues and/or bugs including:

-fix some texture mirroring seam issues (skies)
-finish updating the brightness of all UI elements and in-game objects (mines)
-tweak external camera to match PSX
-fix track bleed through ship model engine area
-fix issue with ships disappearing around track section 0
-add very recent analog control improvements from upstream wipeout-rewrite project
-another round of rebalancing some of the sound volumes
-fix the random music repeat issues
-restore PSX attract mode/demo mode race start behavior
-adjust turbo boost behavior to better match PSX original
-correct culling behavior for all polygons according to PSX original
-bug-fixes in Dreamcast-specific near-z clipping code
-added 0GDTEX.PVR to disc image, more resolution and format choices for cover art in art sub-directory

Always have a vmu install course if it tries to display an lcd image on the vmu and there is non it would crash run into that with my own things just need to write a check to see if vmu is installed or not and disable or display. You know this is wip not final right he is working on it almost every day ..
