mkdcdisc is not using the long filename option for the ISO filesystem, so long filenames are getting truncated.
What if I am doing this natively in Ubuntu instead of any Windows solutions? Would this be required?

FINALLY got a working CDI image... at least in Flycast.

Still doesn't work with GDEMU+openMenu though.

Are there other GDEMU users here who got it working?

Have you done this? From Dev:
Notes on GDEMU usage

I do not own a GDEMU so I cannot vouch for the correctness of the following section.

I was informed that some extra configuration is required to run the CDI from GDEMU. I was told the following settings added to GDEMU.INI will get Doom 64 to run. (edited because I am getting conflicting information)

image_tests = 0

My GDEMU.ini is as below

open_time = 2000
detect_time = 2000
reset_goto = 1
image_tests = 0

What is your screen showing on the error?

Change open_time & detect_time to 150.

just a question to someone that played the 'knee deep in the dead' episode:

in the map 47 'computer station' how raise / move the central pillar to get the access to the various secret areas ? It remains stuck open (build 25-02-15) ?

Interesting, I was playing DOOM on a hand held emulator device a few years back and got stuck in exactly the same way. Can't remember if I did any research but I never got past that problem. Curious if you find a solution.
