need help getting online for PSO

so im in the process of setting up a dreamcast with a GDEMU to gift to my bestie for his birthday. the problem is he only uses WIFI so wired ethernet for gaming online isnt an option hes also not too tech savvy so i need either a plug and play wifi solution or something i can easily educate him on how to use the plan is for my bestie and i to play the DCIVES version of phantasy star online together what are my options we live in arizona usa if it matters

trying to keep this as cheap as possible but im open to spending a bit if it allows him to game online with me

im also open to a guide on building my own device for playing DC games online provided the parts arent expensive
