If you used magic jack then that means it didn't connect. I get that sometimes when I use vonage. You could try a POTS filter. (Analog phone filter) http://www.amazon.com/Dynex-DX-NDSL12-P ... 755&sr=8-2 It is a penny on amazon. That model i used to put in front of a phone outlet in a wall but it should work without the wall jack.

EDIT: This is about faxing over magic jack: Also, in your fax machine or program, you have to tweak the transmission speed to lower than what you would normally use on a land line. I set mine to 7200 and that seems to be the optimal speed for my line.

I think you might need to get lower bandwidth modem. Try 33k? I don't know how to change the bandwidth of of a dream-cast modem other then use the PAL ones.

Well damn, I burnt that webbrowser to a disc and got it working on my dreamcast only to realize that my magic jack subscription expired. I really dont want to renew it because it kind of works like crap for phone calls compared to skype. Oh well, sorry I can't help test this.

You can use a magic jack to connect dreamcast online, but you must have to POTS filter. If you have POTS filter than you may be connect dreamcast. It's a free ISP but there is work only 5 minutes after that connection may be lost and then after you need to again a connect.
