"Could make" is nothing yet and "could" after investing who knows how much money is even worse. I see their point of course, but I doubt Shenmue City will be very popular; I hope it will be though.

I think sega will make a new console. And this will be their featured exclusive game. Sega will enter the console wars the next generation. I'm almost positive, they are getting a lot of money from PSN and XBLA games that are ported over. Plus sega is a better hardware company than they are software. Sega NEEDS to make a new console that is the successor of the dreamcast. crazy taxi 3, shenmue 3, jet grind radio 2, soul caliber, quake 4, and unreal tournament would be a beastly launch lineup, as well the nfl 2k and nba 2k games. People are begging and pleading for sega to make a console. They would be slapping their customers in the face if they never made a console again.

I hope they make a new console. Also, is Shenmue 2 in japanese the whole way through? Because I cant read it. Will I need a utopia boot disc to play the game?

Shenmue 2 PAL has English subtitles and will work on a North American Dreamcast as long as you burn it. Utopia Boot discs are not needed anymore as all games are selfbooting now.

If you want Shenmue 2 with American voices just like was in part 1, our good friend Smith made an English speech version by modding the American Xbox Shenmue 2 voices into the Pal Dreamcast game. It has a 50/60 hertz selector so it works on any TV type American and Pal.

There are 2 versions, one for the regular 80min cdr's, and one for the 90min cdr's not sold in America. If you want perfect speech quality I suggest importing the 90min cdr's. They can hold close to 1gb of data on them and are great for Dreamcast games.

Buy the PAL version of Shenmue II, you'll have subtitles in English. And yes, it'll boot with Utopia.

I loved playing it the way Sega should have released it for the Dreamcast instead of waiting for the Microsuck Xbox for English.

I agree with Dobbs here. Sega released part 1 the way it was supposed be, I don't care if people prefer the more professional Jap voices. I fell in love with part 1, and it was with American English. I wish Microsoft never bought the rights to produce Shenmue 2 with American speech. That prevented the series from feeling right. It broke continuity when they ripped English speech from Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast.

Good thing this system can do modded games fairly easy.

I just want them to release those games on the next console even if they have been on other consoles. Those exclusived made the dreamcast what it was.
