I'm not that happy, game is never actually yours, so no custom modifications can be made(game will be limited to what it can do and not to what you can do to it), also, the possibility that something can go wrong increases drasticly, in this case there are 2 spots where you will be unable to play, if you or them have problems (internet connection, display, servers) then you're screwed.
It's a nice idea, but presents problems

Pretty much exactly why I have very little interest in it.K_I_R_E_E_K wrote:I'm not that happy, game is never actually yours, so no custom modifications can be made(game will be limited to what it can do and not to what you can do to it), also, the possibility that something can go wrong increases drasticly, in this case there are 2 spots where you will be unable to play, if you or them have problems (internet connection, display, servers) then you're screwed.

Not the future there is so much problems on this, as Kireek said.
I am sad. Very sad here. My 500kbps-radio connected internet does not handle the thing...
Wolrd isn't a democratic place afterall.

Re: OnLive review!
Anthony I'm considering getting this as I'm not currently wanting to spend $ just to play a few games I've been wanting to try (AvP), or revisit games that I liked (unreal).
I have average internet, and not a very good computer. Other than purchasing the game, you don't even need a computer to play do you?

Re: OnLive review!
Not really, unless you need to configure the net or something. Basicaly, you get the $99 microconsole(half size of Wii), and hook it to the net. As long as you have a connection that meets the requirements, you should be A-OK.
My brother was contemplating getting it though, he tried it on my PC and was very impressed.
You can choose the free service, where you just buy the games you want to play, or you can go for the "All you can eat buffet" plan and pay so many dollars a year for a subscription to have acess to many, many games!
