Hi,

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are the source files you're referring to thief_2_service_release.7z? Or something else entirely?

Yes, that's the file set I'm referring to.

Sorry to hear about your video card pavomba. I wish you luck with getting your computer troubles worked out.

Ah Just wanted to be thorough about it (new and all) - If you want the fileset 'as is' then it's already available online, in fact you linked it to us! I'm not sure if it's allowed to post the direct link here so instead I'll link you to the exact post I found the D/L link in: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showpost.php?p=464468&postcount=217

The link works just fine - thought it'd save you time if you're wanting to upload the exact same thing you did last time (if you're uploading something else my apologies!) Perhaps this will help with Anthony817 hosting this 'forever' too !

Props to Pato - if it wasn't for following all his RS links of 'TECH.Rar' I'd have never found it!

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but recently someone posted a patch for the games based on the Dark Engine onto a French forum. Hours in, and this has basically created a stir over at the fourms. In fact, within the first day, 1000 uers had been logged in at once onto the forums.

Here's a link to the first English announcement: http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140085

We have no clue who made it, but we're all more than certain it is thanks to game_player_s that the creator was able to recreate the engine and update it for modern systems.

I can't say it enough: Thank you very much, game_player_s! :D

This is a pc update right? So there's still no particular fix/rebuilt files that would enable the dreamcast beta files to work?

Sadly, no. However, I'm hoping that might come about too -- Though considering it wouldn't be like where the DC Half-Life was fully complete, that someone would have to release the compiled stuff and throw in an application to convert all the necessary T2/SS2 files for the CD-R.

Otherwise, this is still just the PC patch. But it's all thanks to Game_player_s.
