its not perfect but i tell you setting up a SMD resistor is hard has crap, anyway i have tried to connect but my win98 vmware machine just stays in monitoring fase, is there anyway i cant test out the LVI.
PS: i was using dreamkey and i have added the blind dial option (ATX0), on the DNS i have "automatic"
EDIT. so i tried to test out my cable on my phone, so i plugged both ends one on the wall and the other on the phone and:
without the 9v battery it wouldnt work.
with the 9v battery worked fine
the cable only plugged into the phone with the 9v battery it would not work ( i dunno if its supposed to)
EDIT2: so i made a linux vmware machine following the tutorial, and also changed the modem to another one that i have, but i have the same problem, when i send the command, my modem makes a few sounds and then a constant high pitched sound, until it times out on receiving "connect". Also my 9v battery is a little low on power outputting about 5v, i dont know if its a factor, again if anyone has any ideias to help me out il be very thankfull. also both my modems have a conexant chipset so it should work.
