Goddam Gundam

I'm getting very confused ! I've got Side Story and Zeon DX (the best two games in the series?) but am also aware there were other games. In particular there were some games made by Bandai ? Please put me straight and tell me the complete list of Gundam games and say whether or not they are worth getting hold of.

I can't really help but I'd suggest wikipedia since they'd probably have it in a nice list form. But if you are having trouble getting into Side Story, trust me its a grower, kind of like the new Interpol album. If I try to play the game for a half hour I end up hating it but if you put some decent time into it you'll really find something special in it

Funny you should say that coz I did play Side Story for 30mins or so and I did find it underwhelming. I'll take your advice though and give it more time. Still haven't given Zeon a go yet but have heard good things about it. I think the controls take time to get used to ?

I checked Wikipedia and now know there were four games in the series on DC: Side Story, Zeon DX, Blood of Zeon and Gundam Online. I couldn't find any reviews for those last two ?

Zeon DX is the best one. Side Story is also decent.

I think Blood of Zeon is an RPG, which, since it is in Japanese, probably wouldn't be that enjoyable to play for you. Gundam battle online is unfortunately a turn based game. Not sure if it's playable offline as well, but as a turn based game, selecting actions from Japanese menus, it's probably not going to be that fun either unlike the action games like Zeon DX.

I wish Zeon DX were 2 player. Incidentally, what is the difference between the 2 discs? I've only ever played it on 1 disc cdr

I think the 4 you mentioned were the only Gundam DC games.

I've heard that Gundam Online can only be played online but the person I've heard it from might have been wrong too so be sure to let us all know if you look into it.

Well I haven't played Zeon DX yet - I only got it a few weeks ago. I think it was Mike Stuzz (oops maybe that's not your name ?) who recommended it to me and I'm pretty excited about trying it out tbh. I'll know more about the game in a couple of weeks time probably.

I think the info you've all given re the other two games means that I'll be crossing them off my to get list.

Yeah I just remember now.....I asked Mike if either Side Story or Zeon DX was playable with the twin sticks. Unfortunately they're not

Do the twin sticks just map controls to a new physical controller like the arcade stick? IE: the arcade stick just maps the D-pad to the stick, and the ABXY buttons to the stick's buttons, instead of there being special code in the game needed to support the arcade stick.
