I need to find something a bit more helping to learn this QuakeC. I wonder how the developer got the Angle to that semi fixed view.

Here are a bunch of tutorials which talk about a lot of aspects for working in QuakeC, including fixed cameras among other things.

Good i found out how to adjust the camera. Looks like the Creator of makaqu is still active alive and well i cam in contact with him about the engine
Anonymous (Me) asked: Is this engine the same for the Dreamcast ? And how do I set up a Sidescrolling camera ?
Yes, the engine is pretty much the same both on Windows and on the Dreamcast, though the Dreamcast version supports a few extra features such as vibration, an icon for the VMU’s LCD screen, and a customizable launcher that supports disc swapping and can auto-detect and display a list of mods to run from the disc.
As for the camera, RenegadeC’s 2D camera mini-mod may help.

Re: "Fightoon" A 3D Homebrew Game
Do you have any idea where I can download the engine for PC? I think for any mod development, it would go much faster if I can design something on the PC with the DC's stats in mind, instead of burning CDs every time I want to test something.
I did a quick google search but couldn't find anything except dead links for much older versions of the engine.
edit: I think I found it.

I think you download the game and mod that in order to do mods.
Edit: Wrong. I mean there's only 1.2- 1.4alpha i have them all i forget where i got them from. as in the engine you mean Makaqu right ?

Re: "Fightoon" A 3D Homebrew Game
Ok I've installed Makaqu for PC, and copied in the PAK file I needed from the shareware version of Quake. I can load that fine and play normal Quake.
Any idea how to open up mods? I've been googling for awhile now and I'm finding info for engines that aer no Makaqu, but the same steps don't seem to be working. I've got a mod in a separate directory, but any console commands I see online for other engines don't seem to work.
EDIT: Oh ok, I got something running via the command prompt.
makaqu -game "mod directory name"
but now it exited b/c of another error (maybe the resolution it was playing at). At least I saw that the mod loaded before it crashed...

Re: "Fightoon" A 3D Homebrew Game
So the analog bug is fixed.Makaqu 1.3.1 released
There you go. This has been tested on a real Dreamcast and the analog stick bug is gone.
It was really tempting to add some of the improvements of Makaqu 1.4 alpha into this release, but such a thing would only create confusion. So, there’s nothing else new in it since the version 1.3.
Due to this, the executable of the Windows version didn’t need any changes, so I didn’t even compile it and just kept the 1.3 version of the Windows executable in the archive. The source is up to date though.
