I will note that the regulars at lavalit left the dreamcast behind years ago as the newest updates to OpenBoR were incompatible with our old beloved system. Thus, we are not going to lose any new dc mods because of this as they were not being made. However, as one of the first homebrew games for dreamcast that inspired the vibrant dreamcast homebrew scene, it is sad to see it go.
From the forum post linked above, SX has released the source code. So yes, the legacy and impact of OpenBoR will live on.
