Alright, so I've been trying to follow TacT's Mac-DC server guide using my Powerbook G4 with OS X v10.5.8. Since people have had success with this guide, I thought someone might could help.
I get everything up and running good and then when I try to connect my Dreamcast and enter "ata" into the terminal, both Planetweb and Terminal say "NO CARRIER". I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong or what. Anyways, all help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Mac-DC Server Help
What model modem is on your dreamcast? Is it a model A or model B?
model B modems require a line voltage to work. or use a telephone line simulator.

Re: Mac-DC Server Help
As far as I know it's a model A, but I'll check again.
Well now... I can't tell. The sticker on the outside says 670-14082A (the one visible from the bottom of the DC) and the one on the inside (er, the part that goes inside the DC anyway) says 670-14140B.
I guess my modem is transgender. XD (okay, bad joke)
I can't find the post that said how to tell if your model is what, so I'm not quite sure.

Well I looked it up. I guess I'm going to have to make/get a line voltage simulator ._.
