New games: Redux: Dark Matters and DUX 1.5

I pre-ordered Redux thru PlayAsia.

I bought Dux 1.5 last year, and based on alot of the comments in this thread Redux is a slight variation at best if im not mistaken. I was considering purchasing it, but after watching the new 8 minute trailer they just posted on their facebook page, there doesn't seem to be enough there to justify a +$60 after shipping and tax.

From what I've heard it isn't. I think that there's a new stage, and maybe the graphics were overhauled or something? I'm not really sure.

really? That's confusing. I mean... why have a 1.5 if Redux is also just an upgrade?

What's throw me off the most is that nothing on the Hucast description page mentions is being a remake/upgrade/etc. Just says "new game" y'know? Which is why I figured it must be a proper sequel?

Just received my copy of Redux Dark Matters and I was reading on the wiki and their kickstarter and apparently it is a remake, but depending on how much you pledge or back them for you will get an extra ship and level or something, but I could be wrong

I bet it's that depending on how much the kickstarter made, they would add that into the remake, rather than only giving it to the pledgers who did that, cause it would be weird to press some CDs with it, and some without. I don't really know, tho, I haven't really been following Redux, at all. I wonder if they managed to get enough for both, I definately heard there was a new level, and I might have heard something about a new ship.

I think they did, your probably right, the pledge appears to have reached approx double the innitial target so hopefully it was included

as far as I remember it was either 2p mode or an extra level. don't know which one made it in the game...

The extra level "Dark Planet" and an additional playable spaceship made it into the game. My LE just arrived, unfortunately the box "says" 1 Player.
