Im trying to set one up (refer other thread), a low ping one for us Aussie players when theres none of you guys playing.

Ive got it to the point where i can connect to it on my DC, but it wont scan properly in the master list or show up properly on the master list on this site.

Ive been talking to another friend who used to play Q3 back in the Seganet days and hes just bought a BBA so we will see him soon too!

Make sure to double check in your settings one of your master lists to dctalk.no-ip.info

If its what i saw in your cfg post on OC there was a typo
set sv_master1 "dctalk.no-up.info"

Ive seen both "no-ip" and "no-up" mentioned on this site, i was having no luck with "no-ip" and when i ping it in the cmd line i get no response, so i tried pinging "no-up" and got all 4 packets back so assumed that was it, but now i get no response with my Q3 server at all.

So my server definately works, my friend confirmed he can connect his DC to it via direct ip input, but it still wont show up in the DC Talk master list. Ive changed it back to dctalk.no-ip.info and my ip appears in the list on this site, but says TIMEOUT and has the wrong socket number.

ok, so I did get a copy of Q3 this week. And I have my DNS set to the DCT server. I'm on dialup. Is that all I need to know? Am I all set?
