Swap Trick help

Post by respectforretro »

I have a PC-DC server running over linux and I can play games that don't require a dial tone perfectly. The one problem I have is getting the swap trick to work with my 77hp-g tone generator. I wan't to play Quake 3 Arena online but I can't seem to get the Dreamcast to find a dial tone. If anyone has any experience with this or might be able to guide me on this please reply. Also I have a Zoom 56k modem with a line voltage inducer if that makes a difference.

Aldair, thanks for the reply, I got the swap trick to work but I now face another problem. Quake 3 can't find the server even if I specify the IP Address. If anyone knows whats causing this please help me out.

Linux is not for Quake 3 arena! Only windows 98 as the video.

Aldair, you can definitely use Linux to run QIIIA and PSO.

Aldair, could you reupload your videos showing your Q3 PCDC setup?
I'm having troubles simulating the swap trick via software.
