Sony PVM 20M2E

I can buy one of these puppies for around €100.

Still worth that kind of money in this day and age?...

Still superior quality over other media?...

If it's in good condition, you have the correct cabling and you are going to make use of it, then yes. I appreciate it's more difficult to get RGB in the states so this is a good choice.

I haven't really seen a difference in picture quality between a PVM and good quality RGB SCART CRT (easy to find in the UK). I prefer the latter because they are dirt cheap and very easy to replace. There is certainly a difference in picture quality compared to BVM's but I can't justify the cost/hassle of getting one.

One big advance BVM/PVM's have over consumer sets are their rugged designs; they are made to be shifted around! :)

Looks perty fancy!

To be honest, I don't think Sony makes the best TVs anymore. I really like RCA's LCD televisions, though. :)
