The crazy thing is I can't find much online about a Dreamcast version. I see a few mentions but nothing concrete. Good do know at least 30% of the game is there whatever that amounts to. :)

So Colin McRae 2.0 was supposed to be based around the PC release. Interesting. That begs the question; how many [ports of] games were supposed to come out for the Dreamcast before it was shelved in early 2001?
My Steam Profile (from SteamDB)

  • Worth: $2623 ($699 with sales)
  • Games owned: 250
  • Games played: 146 (58%)

No idea how many of these are real and how many aren't, but there's a lot of PC ports there. I would have liked to see Elite and a remake of Chakan especially.

Colin McRae was rumoured since the launch of the Dreamcast. However not much was ever mentioned with respect to its development, at least not to the magazines I was buying. It would be interesting though to see if the rumours where even true, and if yes, where they planning to implement "just" a port or something more pumped up for the Dreamcast version?

Given that the announcement of the Dreamcast withdrawal found many games under development, there should be many games out there implemented to a certain extend. I once read that a SDK sold on ebay contained work in progress for Ecco 2 for example.
