Region changer clears my flash rom, can't restore

I think my copy of region changer is broken, anyone got a link to a confirmed good iso?

My flash rom is twice the size it needs to be with a switch to change between the two halves. It was pre-programmed with two copies of the stock ntsc/u flash.
I tried using region changer to change the selected half and it cleared the flash rom. black swirl.
I can still boot with the other half of the flash then switch before attempting to write.
Trying to restore a backup crashes to unhandled exception.
