its better for a thing like this to start it at a low price, say 500, that way you get more watchers. remember that christmas seaman dc from a while back? it also started low, but in the end it went as high as €2000 I believe

I havent alot of expierience in selling stuff on Ebay, only really bought... but hopefully it does go as i looked online and one guy sold one for around 2000 Euro's back in 2005 so hopefully the price has shot up =)

Around 6 or 7 years ago i was looking to buy a standard 1 brand new and saw a advert in one of the national newspaper's 'The Mirror' i think it was, and all i had to do was send off the answer on a post card..... and i won. i couldn't believe it but i had no idea how valuable the 10th anniversary one was.

i kept it in a cupboard and only really played it one or twice as i was still kinda hooked on the Playstation i think.

A few people have asked me to trade loadsa stuff for it but Im not a collector so hopefully it will sell!

Its chump change. You may as well save it and enjoy it and maybe in a decade or two you can actually ask for a real sum of money.

for a $1,000 you can get another DC and a few key games and still have $900 left to blow on anything you want. i don't think i could own one of these Dreamcasts. its nothing more than an autographed shell. the internal hardware is just like any other Dreamcasts. so why not sell it and get a less rare shell and a few kick ass games?

thats not the point gary, its a good investment
like thecoolinator said, keep it for another 10 years & it'll be worth a lot more (SMS Smurfs 2 comes to mind)

thats one of the reasons why I still got the candy that came with Seaman; by now I'm prolly one of the few folks who owns a REALLY complete version of the game (that & I'll prolly die if I were to eat it now )

Yeh nobody bid, had over 100 watchers last week but probly a high asking price with the current financial climate n all that!!

Jus replyin to the people who say theres no point selling it.... i really am not a collector n have had alot of interest from people who would love to have this more than me, i do love playing the dreamcast but im not even using it, its stuck away in a cupboard and i have no desire in collecting rare dreamcast consoles.

Somebodys offered 1000 euros out of ebay n that's about as high as im gunna get i feel. hopefully it will find a better home than mine in the coming weeks as i feel its a huge waste just sitting around not even being played.

with all the interest ive had over the dreamcast it will find a new home, i just wonder for how much . . . . . !!

That's a real nice piece, there's a buyer out there for everything and that will make someone real happy.

If that offer is serious, 1000 euros would be a pretty nice return. Thats $1395 USD at the moment.
