Retro Gaming in Japan

Post by M1 IRON SIGHTS »

Hi,

I've been wondering recently what is the nature of retro gaming in Japan? I don't really hear about news from that part of the world. I know they have retro video game stores and that Japanese Mega Drive accessories cost a rediculous amount for some reason, but is there any interest in Dreamcast there?

I'm mostly wondering because they had so many more online games for Saturn and Dreamcast, not to mention other systems going way back the rest of the world never saw and I'm wondering if anybody there has tried resurrecting these services a la Western fans.

Does anybody know about the Japanese scene or where to find info? I'm American, just curious.
