Revision 2 is now available for all current platforms. Added Linux libs and a few other tidbits to the readme; IP Address requirement has been reduced.

This is great! Got myself all signed in and no probs so far.

There's one other person online, and by double clicking I can see their games database show up.

show spoiler»

EDIT: It shows my games list when I log on, so I'm redacting my prior question.

I'm going to connect to PSO now to see if that makes any live changes to my installed copy of Companion :D
EDIT: I got connected to PSO and it live updated. Very pleased with how the system works!

EDIT 2:
Not all of my games are showing, however I'm sure this will correct when I log back into them (I may not have actually played them all online yet), however I do notice that Metropolis Street Racer is lit on my profile, although MSR only had a web browser service (With leaderboards etc). Does accessing the browser in-game make this light, or have I managed to access something specific?

The library reports all games, not just the ones that let you play online. If you've been to the website and Dreamcast.Online supports it's ID, it counts. The library is for games the users own; You went to the site, so you own that game. I made it as a 'collection' feature and it's neat to see what games people own.

Which games don't show up? Could be an ID issue that can be swiftly fixed. Let me know and get a RC4 out.

It's 4AM and i'm wide awake with rootbeer, so might as well.

Also, i see you online! haha.

EDIT: ALSO, some games aren't supported yet, like Jet Grind Radio. It's in the list, but Dreamcast Live's API does not actually log it, yet. I'm working with Kazade to perhaps add the missing games, but he's busy with life. He just had a newborn.

EDIT 2: I noticed that when i go online, each player-card in the player-list displays their ID. I forgot to turn that off, since this is a release build, so i'll be doing that soon.

PAL GAMES TESTED:
Chu Chu Rocket (PAL) - Fine
Monaco 2 Online (PAL) - Fine
Metropolis Street Racer (PAL) - Fine
Planet Ring (PAL) - Fine
Sonic Adventure (PAL) - Fine
Worms World Party (PAL) - Fine

F355 Challenge (PAL) - Shows as Phantasy Star Online (Except in Homepage Mode)
Jet Set Radio (PAL) - Shows you are playing Jet Set Radio online, but doesn't light Jet Grind Radio in the Player's Library (There doesn't appear to be a Jet Set Radio in the Player's Library either)
Sega GT (PAL) - Shows as Phantasy Star Online
Toy Racer (PAL) - Showing as Sonic Adventure through the HOMEPAGE option (Fine through multiplayer)

Although the European website never wound up coming to life (outside of a coming soon splashpage), and the American site is lost to time, the Japanese site survived intact. With the way we're working now, we can easily translate the Japanese site (As I've done for many other official sites) and redirect the US and EU versions to it.

well i was thinking more of a site than an app, because i do have a sailfish phone so the app is unlikely to run :p

even if i will try it the same on my pc :)

If you're looking for a site, i believe the latest version of Dreamcast.Online contains new 'mobile' code, as i've been digging through it. I think Kazade will be doing something like that, soon. (maybe)

Roareye wrote:F355 Challenge (PAL version) shows as Phantasy Star Online (It allowed me into the online race hub under the user DREAM though!)
EDIT: It now shows as F355 Challenge but only in the Homepage mode. It dials in and shows as PSO, then after completing connection it switches to F355 on Companion.

Sega GT (PAL version) shows as Phantasy Star Online

This does not surprise me. Sega GT and F355 are under the "offline" section of Dreamcast Live. This is most-likely an issue on Kazade's end, since DreamPi is the one that handle URL pushes to the main website. My tool is simply a leech, with the addition of the "playerdex" mode.

Phantasy Star Online is the most common game, so it's most likely a place holder. User 'indiket' seems to have F355 and Jet Set Radio, so i'll play around and see. It's very possible that since the website converts offline games into an available placeholder with assets, but i'm not for certain. I will have to ask Kazade directly about this. I will spoof myself as user 'indiket', on the tool, and play around right now.

But yes, definitely go to dreamcast live under the games tab and compare to the offline section so we can be precise.

I've done some testing and i think its an issue on the DreamPi end. I spoofed myself as user 'Indiket' and pulled and forced his DPP as my own. He owns a plethora of offline games and they actually do detect in the library mode. I spoofed the current game as the raw Sega GT and F355 tags and the icons, on the hope page, were properly reported. Perhaps the PAL versions have place holder tags..

I also noticed that Indiket has 'Virtua tennis' in his library... that's not an online game. I can't explain that one? Also Jet Set Radio, which isn't, to my knowledge, even detectable on DreamPi yet. huh.

It's all fine on my end; My tool just converts what it pulls. It's gotta be something in the website source.

I'm going to have to link this thread to Kazade. I don't want to annoy him but i'm kind of curious, now.

Thanks for reporting feed back. It should work just fine with the *online* games. Toy Racer, Alien Front etc..

Virtua Tennis is online in Japan. I was going to test the Japanese titles I own shortly. I updated my previous post with all PAL title issues I found (Not many).

Anything where the site is still not yet online might explain why Toy Racer (for example) doesn't show as Toy Racer via the Homepage option - as the site isn't yet back online and it pushes the site through to a temporary holding.

I'll test my US and JP titles and let you know what I find.

Alright, i see. Perhaps i should add tennis to the list, then..

Can you send me your DPP file? It's located in DATA\DATABASE\[your username]. I'm not sure if you can attach files on this site, but i'd like to see that latest version of your DPP.

@jet set radio - Yes, AFAIK "jet grind" isn't even supported; only in my tool, is it. I've changed it to jet set in the list, just now, even before you mentioned it. Dreamcast Online does not say what version of the game, so it's not really possible to split the library mode into regions. (unless individual IDs come in the future) Would be nice, though. I've tested Jet Grind and Japanese Jet Set (both editions); No dice.

Here ya go;
http://www.seganet.co.uk/Roareye.DPP

I'm just trying to work out an ISP settings issue. My ISP1 is empty, ISP2 has the login information inside of it. PSO and the PAL games have no issue with this, however the US titles don't seem to like it very much and tell me my ISP1 info needs to be filled out.
I tried to fill it out several times via Dreamkey 3.0 but it only seems to fill in ISP2, which is a major pain in the ass. Any ideas of how to fix this?
