What ? It would be easier using homebrew thats the why homebrew is around because other ways dont work or are harder anyways never heard i dont want to homebrew my dreamcast it would not hurt it you need no files to mod the dreamcast and dont tell any one but it cant tell if you run homebrew or not

Transfer Dreamcast VMU Files via E-mail

Blayer98, basically what I do is use Mozilla Thunderbird to create a draft e-mail with the VMS file attached to it using my PC. Then I check the source of the e-mail (Menu -> View -> Message Source or Ctrl+U) to make sure that the VMU file's meta-data (content-type) is correct.
(VMU files should be listed as "Content-Type: application/x-dreamcast-vms" when sent with an e-mail or hosted on a Web site.)
Usually the VMU file's meta-data is listed correctly automatically, but if not then you can either manually edit the e-mail by saving it to your PC's drive as an .eml file and editing it with a text editor such as Notepad; or for future automatic usage, you can change your OS's (such as Windows 10's) file associations (MIME types) to associate .vms files with "application/x-dreamcast-vms".
Even with a PC set up properly, I find that I still have to manually add the right content-type for ICONDATA files (VMU icon files) as they don't have a .filename extension to associate them with any content-type / MIME type.
There are some reasons that people might sometimes want to send VMU files via e-mail though, right? I hope that helps. If there are people that wish to send VMU files through e-mail, then the information is there now.

That is generous of you, Mister. You contribute a lot to the PSP, 3DS, and Dreamcast scenes!
