Either way dub, thank you for bringing it to the forum!
On another note, what about something as simple as this?
Still going to have no variability or movement just straight full on or off on the other stick .. It's not even play-able like that these games you tap press the button on or off not full on all the time and vary the movement it make the game 100% harder to play
I'd be very interested to try one of these out. For me it would be most useful for when games make you use the Dpad as movement and left stick for aiming. I don't like holding the controller in such a way to make that configuration work, as it's harder to use both triggers and press face buttons when using that configuration, but this 2nd stick would remedy that for me.
Also, I don't care that it's not analogue and will be considered a full button press when using that joystick. For me it would be a nice improvement on certain games I'd love to buy one!
Super cool how it has switches so you can presumably have the right stick work for either face buttons or the dpad! That is crucial for this kind of controller to be useful for me. Love it.

that is an interesting mod. especially when he is able to look diagonally. I don't think I would screw a hole in my controller tho. until a modern alternative with good build quality comes (looking at you strikerDC) original dc controllers are sacred.
I agree on sacred controllers! However if you would happen to find a rather beat up one, then I might consider it ha! That way you could give it a new paint job to go along with the new mod.
It'd make Bangai-O! a bit nicer to play! Would it also work in Virtual On:OT as well? I can't remember how awful the controls are in that on a standard controller.

no, this mod detected by game as standart controller

very terrible, yesterday I tried to play on a regular controller, the controls are disgusting
I added Twin Stick mode for the GameCube controller and was able to enjoy this game
Well, I guess this is a start, even though it does look twitchy as all hell, and is really just remapped standard controls. At least it gives a good idea of where a second analog stick could go; looks like a similar layout to an XBox controller if I'm honest. Doesn't the controller bus support a true right analog stick though? I heard it does.

Yes, Dreamcast can handle 2 analog sticks. Only a few games support it though
