A week into using the HD-500 and it's safe to say, it's better than any HDMI adapter on Amazon!
Due to how well this little box has been working for my setup, and the need for other inputs to get some love on my XBR55X900H Bravia, I've purchased the AT-LINE-PRO5-GEN2 off eBay for $60. I'm hoping I can gift the HD-500 to a friend and also eliminate other equipment for my other consoles like Wii and CECHB01 PS3. One big box to do it all! I'll post my findings in here once it's installed and setup.
Another note: mClassic is amazing.

But this kind of cable can last for years unlike others which are cheap.mrneo240 wrote:Easily 100% better.
No picture crush, and works fine with hydro thunder because of quality chips.
Also this may be hard to swallow but those $30 HDMI cables and whatever beharbros is hawking use the same transcoder chips [url=https://www.picard-demenagement.fr/]déménageur Bordeaux/url]. The only difference being beharbros artisnally scrapes off the chip markings and makes cheap as dirt open acrylic "cases"

Re: Dreamcast and Atlona Scalers (Pro AV Gear)
I totally forgot about this topic. That AT-LINE-PRO5-GEN2 ended up being a dud and I returned it back to the eBay seller. The HD500 is still rocking along and i'm still amazed at how well it handles the VGA signal.
Checking out eBay, these things are jumping in price. Make sure you don't overpay for one but if you're still using the cheap Kaico/Pound adapters, you're doing it wrong and need to get one of these!

Re: Dreamcast and Atlona Scalers (Pro AV Gear)
Hi Everyone
I have just got back into dreamcast.
I have installed a GDEMU.
I also have a VGA to Hdmi converter and am having the black screen issues with Hydro Thunder.
Am I right in thinking the best way to fix this is to get an Atlona AT HD SC 500?
Which cable are you guys using for the connection from the dreamcast to the Atlona please?
Something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brand-Dreamcas ... B072QCSW6Q
Many thanks for your help in advance.

Yes, hydro thunder definitely works with either model without glitches.D1sco74 wrote:Hi Everyone
