Just a normal 16:9 monitor....
How is your DC playing amiga games in proper aspect ratio? Can you share a screenshot/photo of an amiga game on your screen?

Yes there is no widescreen in vga 4/3 the code has no widescreen in it..
any of my videos of it show correct screen size..
You need proper if it's lcd 4/3 not 16/9 monitor i have no code to make it widescreen in the render ..
this is software rendering not hardware..
4/3

So graphics can be displayed in multiple resolutions and color depths, even on the same screen. Resolutions vary from 320×200 (up to 32 colors) to 640×400 (up to 16 colors) for NTSC (704×484 overscan) and 320×256 to 640×512 for PAL (704×576 overscan.)[14] The system uses planar graphics, with up to five bitplanes (four in high resolution) allowing 2-, 4-, 8-, 16-, and 32-color screens, from a palette of 4
Where pal 320x240 that's it we cant do any of the above
320 pixels wide by 200 pixels high for NTSC regions or 240 pixels high for PAL regions 320x240 pal Amiga that's it No code to do any such widescreen it's rendering 320x240

Weird.. im not sure why my dc games and amigatodc games are all stretched..
Im using a dc vga cable to directly to 16:9 lcd monitor.
The picture settings on the monitor is set to 16:9, I have 2 choices 16:9 or 4:3

Shouldn't you use 4:3? That should make it at the proper aspect ratio. 16:9 stretches the image to widescreen, as you've experienced.

Yes that's right I can use 4:3 by forcing that setting on my monitor.
But is this what everyone is doing? Or is something messed up at my end for it not going into proper aspect ratio by default with 16:9 monitor setting?

That's what everyone is doing. Some monitors have an "Auto" resolution/aspect ratio, but unless you have one of those, you have to manually select 4:3 for Dreamcast. This is a standard process. There is nothing wrong with your monitor.
Pretty much yes for the gdemu themes manager but nothing is going to make a 16/9 monitor 4/3 panel.. that's why people buy 4/3 lcd panels if you wanted that..
some can do it mine i can force to 4/3 but not a normal thing 16/9 is a widescreen panel
