Those things make noise and problems i use to use one that i would suspect is the problem ..As you see it needs usb power and that is a problem makes noise lines in the picture..
It will be the problem almost 100% cable is dead simple there all the same try connecting direct vga with the cable to some other tv or monitor..
I had to upgrade to fix that problem to this https://www.ebay.com/itm/203502447153 i get no problems using this cheap ass one.. Also cheap but fixed all problems .. Course it prolly matter what usb power you use some are just crap and add noise and lines
Connect the dc direct with the cable to the pc monitor i can bet it be clean

Unfortunately, all the cheap VGA cables use unshielded cable. I have a HAIS VGA box from back in the day & it still works great, albeit I haven't used it in a while.
If you don't want to go DCDigital & get proper HDMI out, you might be able to pick up a VGA box secondhand.

I'd be willing to bet the VGA cable is fine and the VGA to HDMI box is the problem.

Ian, does this one work with Hydro Thunder VGA (U)? I wouldn't mind buying a cheap backup if I new it worked. Thanks.

Wow, native 16x9 video output. Didn't know that! Excellent video.
I had one ordered four yrs ago and works perfectly. Not sure if he still makes them though. It is more expensive than Chinese ones but you get what you pay I guess.

update, I got another cable from amazon but unfortunately instead of a VGA they sent me a standard rca cable
Someone suggested also the bitfunx hdmi cable, it cost $30 on aliexpress, anyone know if it's good or if I risk the same issues with image flickering etc.or worst with image shifted to the right?
It still carries the real vga signal?
The only good thing with my VGA cable that cause flickering etc. is the image at least is perfectly centered.
