Kremiso , how come your r type ussload has all the levels in it , without needing to change disk.

And with other games such as Rainbow Island we need to change disk even tho it is ussload.

This does not make sense in my head :)

R-type i used the Flashtro 1MB CHIP RAM fixed version to build that
not sure if all the levels are in, 6 for sure iirc

a couple of Amiga games uses the extra RAM to store the assets, to avoid the loading each time

basically you need to made the uss state when you have reached a later level, after a game over
or directly at the end of the game, when restarting

tricky fun for all the games that permits that :)

---

Rainbow Island, i need to find an autoboot release that performs like the previous version
but i could just modify the single old boot disk, removing at least the wait for Return key

it doesn't use the extra RAM at all, unlike R-Type ie, so the disk change

in meantime, a Midnight Resistance adf's set for Ian, to test :)

it seems performing little better with the 3.5 autoboot release
the second level seems loading ok here

but sometime there is a very short pause-like, and the screen turns black
maybe this require a precise throttle setting
with the 4.0 and 4.0 no leds this randomly behaviour seems a bit worse

let me know Ian
uss treatment, into main menu + sfx already selected instead of music

That's it, I finally decided to test it and it works really well ;)
I confirm that the tutorial is clear and easy to use :)
Thanks kremiso ;)
