This demo is honestly breathtaking, sure i dont think if it was to be turned into a full game that it would be as NICE as the PS2 version, but that goes the same for XBOX ports of PS2 games anyways. I'm finally glad to see things on the homebrew front look not just akin to games from 1998-01, but more like contemporary 6th generation games which we did start to see late in the systems life (the unreleased propellor arena my beloved) Oddly it reminds me of The Ring: Terrors Realm (without the awful tank controls or all the hilarious acting)
sure its just a tech demo and the animations remind me of those shovelware phone rip off games of big IPs like the famous "Grab the Auto 5", you cant really fault it for that because it is a simple tech demo. In fact its impressive it looks fluid in motion on such old hardware. I dont think we would get anything to rival the Original Xbox but perhaps the kinds of games that were canned for dreamcast due to the discontinuation of the system, better enhanced ports of PC titles that we did get but were heavily underwhelming (Urban Chaos, GTA2) or completely new titles in genres that we havent seen on DC in years or perhaps ever! (Survival Horror, Open World, Life Sim, RTS, of course Stealth)
i know i'm late (and of course not a technical person at all, just a dreamer) but i know the future seems even brighter for the little Schrodinger's console! Dream on!
