My friend wants me to do this with my 37" 1080p TV, but I'm too scared.

Nice! One of these days I'm going to break down and buy a copy of Ikaruga for the DC. Already have the GC version, but GC simply doesn't do the game justice.

Good luck finding one, and if you find it, PRAY for it being under 100 euros.

i have done this with my 21" CRT PC monitor. it was pretty cool to see under defeat with out borders. im not into shooters enough to do this very often though. it was nice to try once but i doesn't seem to safe. this monitor weighs to damn much and there is nothing to support it on its side :D

Yeah, well, i'd love to do it with my PC monitor (it's a fucking 15" CRT, old as fuck but it still works...), the thing is I DON'T HAVE THE VGA BOX, so doing it with my actual 21" CRT TV it's kind a pain in the ass, not to mention that it's dangerous as fuck as the tube can implode because of the bad position (this doesn't happen with a PC monitor, only with CRT tvs)

why is that? my PC monitor is a CRT. the tube is the same as a CRT tv?

Yes, it's the same tube... but you know, the PC monitor is only the tube and the flyback... the CRT TV also has a tuner and the speakers with it's amplifier. The tube moves a few milimiters when on touching ANYTHING inside it and POOF, short-circuit, blue smoke and possibly electric shock.
