No idea, i have a legit cube as i told you, so dont know about failed copies.. But if you want it so bad, idk in your area, but i got my copy for 15 bucks on ebay, shipping included. Worth the money. Its pso ffs!

It's not just burned copies for examples I have the Zelda Gold edition game and disc two doesn't work at all! Resident Evil Zero real version sometimes was quite buggy I don't know if it could be the laser in the cube itself but it's not very nice.
I have a legit copy of PSO for dreamcast I know it's worth the money

I used to have around 20 games back in the day, they all worked fine. Sounds you are very unlucky; your consoles or your disks (or both) looks fucked up.

Certainly sounds like the laser lens problem that more and more GCs are suffering from now. Don't know if you know about it
If you don't (or there are others that keep getting "disc read error" type problems) there are plenty of videos on how to fix it here

I was very disheartened the other day when I saw in the window of a Cash Convertors Gamecubes for sale at £6.99 each! And you know they're going to rot because of the backwards compatility of the Wii.
