The product in question is the IOLAN SDS1. According to Pearle, this product will provide a PPP service to allow the Sega Dreamcast device to communicate on the Ethernet network.
I provided this drawing prior to their input (included).

I have seen serial to Ethernet devices before but would you just plug it in and it works? Or is there some tinkering.
Thanks so much for what you are doing. This could be then biggest breakthrough since the PC-DC server!

I'll let you know when I get this. I just paid some $$$ for roof repair and I just finished braving the ladder fixing my gutters as well as fixing the roof. Radkin was spotting me in case I fell, so I felt a bit more confident. Now, I'm buying a used car and then the IOLAN thing. I just got done fixing the Minivan when the roof and gutter thing happened.
Once I buy the Mopar, I'll be doing the IOLAN thing (this will be soon).

Again take your time. There will always be more important things than gaming. Too bad it's true.

Thanks for the diagram Dobbs, now it is easy to understand how this thing works. When you get everything settled let us know how it goes.
