The official black broadband adapter was released ONLY with the Japanese R7 Dreamcast.

Getting it by itself is foolish pursuit.

Besides, if you watched the video, you'd have heard my tip on how to get a "cheap" BBA.

That being the case, doesn't it seem likely that thats what I did to get it? You know...since I suggested it...

:shock: So your telling me, that the black BBA i brought for just under 100 pounds a few months back is rarer than the other BBA models?

Dude, I have got to see this, you must have gotten one of the R7 units, as that was the only version I was aware that they ever made in black. I have seen complete R7 systems going for a pretty penny on Ebay, so they aren't cheap.

People just take these BBA's off of their R7, and sell them, and useually replace them with an American Sega Sports 56k modem.

I'll post up a picture in the morning cause its half 11 at night were i am. I never expected it to be rare, i just thought black was just another common colour.

Does the back of the modem say LINE or LAN?

If it says LAN, its the R7 unit.

If it says LINE, its the same custom deal as mine.

On the second foto it not so clearly says, "Line" Kind of hard to make out, but that's what it says! Hope you didn't pay too much for it.
