also DC games coming to PSN & XBL is kinda annoying cause i know for a fact there'll be people buy them that love them and want more - an half of these people will be people who slated the DC and were Sony fanboys

well thats how stupid sony fanboys are

I have two opinions on this subject!
1. Horray! The Dreamcast can now be appreciated by everyone and now they can play some of its great titles!
2. HOW DARE SEGA TAINT THESE LEGENDARY DREAMCAST GAMES BY PUTTING THEM ON A PLAYSTATION CONSOLE! THIS IS HEIRACY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER! THESE MERE CHILDREN DO NOT DESERVE TO PLAY THESE GAMES! THESE GAMES ARE TOO GOOD TO BE ON A PLAYSTATION OR AN XBOX!!!!!!!!!!
Although i've had had someone say this to me today
Why? To be honest besides the Dreamcast community (us) and a few curious people, who cares about a few Dreamcast games coming onto the PSN and XBLA?

Hey im sorry to say to you that im a sony fanboy. Im not one of the bitchy assholes who defend Sony even though they made a mistake. (like selling the PS3 for 600 dollars at launch. WTF was that?). But I was born in 1995. My first system i had was a PS1 in like 1999 with spyro, an elmo game, and a rugrats game.

I got a ps2 in first grade and last September I got a PS3 because for the 300 dollar price. If i was older at the time of the dremacast I probably would have bought it over the PS2 but I was four when it came out.
What I am saying is that even though the hype of the ps2 contributed to the death of the dreamcast there are other factors. Like use GD-roms instead of dvds. Bad launch in Japan. etc.

Thats an unfair argument.
Dreamcast technology went into development as early as 1997 in Japan.
DVD technology was simply not possible at the release time.

Im not saying its there fault but I linked to a dreamcast history video by G4 and they said that when Sony launched there system in Japan Dvds became the norm. Newly made dvd rental stores used the ps2 as a dvd player becuase it was the cheapest dvd player.

Yes that is true. DVDs definitely hurt Sega in the long run.
But to assume Sega could have predicted that and should have acted accordingly in 1997 is wrong, thats all.

They made two different prototypes, but neither was ever released.

Thats the "common" one.
Unfortunately I can't find a picture of the second, rarer one.
It was originally posted in some German magazine and looks similar to the zip drive prototype.
