Ok, there is this IOLAN serial to Ethernet box from a company called Pearle in Canada. If I do not get a voice modem and still fail with the DC-PC server, then I will get the IOLAN. This box works only with PPP, which they believe will work with the Dreamcast. I most likely will be the first to test it being I have no faith in getting the DC online with WinXP.

This would be your "BBA" for the DC, with the ability to play all of the games and browsers that are still active.

Lol, he means exactly what he said. He is wondering if it would be possible for a company to produce brand new BBA's. ;)

I think our best bet is really to contact China, as they are THE kings of making reproductions! Remember, where there is demand there is supply.

In a perfect world, none of the broadband games would have ceased to work online, and BBA'S would be a hell of a lot cheaper!

..

Guys...

Chinese, the german, your mothers, hobbits, underground magical people...

None of them knows how to make them! I told you already, the closest think ever achieved is a clone of the hkt 300...

Seriously, drop it now. Its getting annoying. Dreamcast broadband: old bba, dc pc server, or MAYBE that iolan thing...

END. PERIOD.

Why can't you be optimistic? Sure you can just give up or you can do someting about it. Do you think the guy who figured out how to make the PC-DC server was able to do it easily. He probably ran in to some trouble getting it to work but he never gave up.

We are talking about a chipset no one has been able to crack for now 10 years. Its not like software which you can mess around things, tweak, re do..

Or a console that you can open, plug, unplug stuff..

No..

Image

Theres something inside the bba like this we dont know what it does, how it does it, why it does it, what it needs, what it reacts to.. We know nothing about it.. So clearly we can not clone it.. No, not even the chinese...

Its not that i dont want to be optimist, its you guys that dont want to be realistic. Im here just to not get your hopes high because theyre going to fall from very high. All youre getting from finding weird solutions are even more expensive stuff, like the iolan, the phone line simulator stuff...

1°)BBA

2°)PC DC SERVER
