Scam indeed. Unless I was buying it directly from a retailer that had unquestionably been carrying the system back in the day I would not trust it to be knew.
Ebay Feedback ratings are completely skewed and worthless anymore. Most of the big sellers demand positive feedback under threat of not leaving you, the buyer any, which is complete backwards from how the feedback system was intended to operate. And I've even had sellers send e-mails that came across as being threats of leaving negative feedback if I didn't leave them positive feedback.
Ebay, in less than ten years time, has gone from being the greatest marketplace the world has ever known to being the biggest hub for scam artists on the planet; like the one that NateN34 has been scammed by.
