I'm assuming that this lan and modem thing is for a "socket" to use a PC's communication device, not a Dreamcast.

I meant that it could be anything like early online feature or something. It is an unreleased game so this copy could still have been in development. Sorry if it you didn't understand that.

Half-Life was going to be released as a singleplayer game first, then after that was released, the multiplayer disc was going to be released most likely in spring of 2002. I still have hope that one day somewhere in the future, the MP version will be found on a devbox.
