I reported this account twice already but for some reason both reports were deleted without any action taken, so I figured I would try one more time and just report it here instead.
There's a lot of these popping up that aren't blatantly made to spam links and make largely incoherent posts that are generally responding to the topic. Then the links are in the sig.

How should we report them so that the reports aren't deleted?

Yeah my reports have been deleted too. If it is lack of interest in keeping up with it maybe you can get some help or something idk but it seems to be quite rampant recently .

your reports don't just get deleted. sometimes i give users the benefit of the doubt, this was one of those times. he isn't posting anyway so let it go. i have noticed a lot of this type of spammer too. you guys don't see all of them that i remove before you get a chance to report them. i have deleted this same type of spammer about 30 times.

Lots of Xrumer spam popping up on here lately...

http://dreamcast-talk.com/forum/memberl ... ile&u=3606

Pretty typical Xrumer Q&A post. Usually with these the program will register two accounts, one asks a question like "where can I find x" and the second account will come by later to help answer the question by posting a link to the spammer's site about x.

EDIT: Nevermind, on further inspection it looks like this probably isn't a Q&A, the question was scraped off of Yahoo Answers. They'll probably just end up adding links in the profile/signature and never post again.

These two are actually kind of interesting. The bot is pulling content from posts in the topics it's replying to, jumbling it up and changing some words via a thesaurus database to where it almost looks like a genuine comment from someone that isn't very fluent in English. The stuff that the emilysoft account is posting is pretty obvious computer generated junk, but luluxiu's posts are pretty crafty.

http://www.thesamet.com/blog/2006/12/21 ... bb-forums/ You could try adding some math questions to the registration.

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 9&t=645075 this mod would ask questions like is fire hot or cold which should stop bots.

Recently i see that there are lot's of human registering bots, they simply manually register the bot and when they see that enough forums are infected, they launch the script that contains the spam post/topic.

Since it's a manual register, you can't stop them using questions, in fact, you can't stop them.

There might be a few that are registering manually, but some of these are definitely bots getting through the registration. I just searched for "luluxiu" on google and came up with thousands of forum profiles, with most of the ones I bothered to check out having been registered within the past few days. No one has that kind of time or would even bother to do that manually.

It's possible that they've found an exploit to bypass the Q&A protection used here, but I'm guessing that the program is just sending the questions on over to a captcha-breaking service where people are paid to sit and answer these questions all day. If that's the case, renaming the fields for the Q&A to something random would probably help.

Thanks for pointing them out AdamL. I took care of them.

I think I'll try making the Q&A more random.
