Quite an improvement over RF eh? I'd get one myself but unfortunately I don't have a VGA input on my TV. I may eventually get one along with a VGA-Component converter box but I'm fine with AV for now.
Why not get an S-Video cable for now ? You'll get much better quality than using a standard Av cable. Someone on Ebay UK is selling them for 99p + £4 packaging worldwide.

Also, if you're looking to buy a VGA box now then most of them have an S-Video output built in.

Just so everyone knows, the quality increases thus: RF - composite - S-Video - RGB Scart - VGA
I've thought about it but from what I've heard it's not that big of an improvement. Then again, you're right about the S-Video on the VGA box. Maybe I can just get the box first, use the S-Video, then get the converter box a little later. I'll keep checking eBay for now and see if I can get a good deal on a VGA box. Can't seem to find any below $25 (£15).

$25 for a VGA box with the S-Video out option is a good deal. i paid somewhere around $20 for a VGA cord. it does the same thing as the box, but without the S-Video. all my cord has is a headphone jack for audio and a VGA out.

Considering how my Wii started to "button press to action" sync with my 1080p Samsung TV in 480p mode, with component cables, it wouldn't surprise me if the VGA box would do more than just improve upon resolution quality as well.
