I've thought about it but from what I've heard it's not that big of an improvement. Then again, you're right about the S-Video on the VGA box. Maybe I can just get the box first, use the S-Video, then get the converter box a little later. I'll keep checking eBay for now and see if I can get a good deal on a VGA box. Can't seem to find any below $25 (£15).Neohound wrote:Why not get an S-Video cable for now ? You'll get much better quality than using a standard Av cable. Someone on Ebay UK is selling them for 99p + £4 packaging worldwide.pcwzrd13 wrote:Quite an improvement over RF eh? I'd get one myself but unfortunately I don't have a VGA input on my TV. I may eventually get one along with a VGA-Component converter box but I'm fine with AV for now.viroth100 wrote:My vga box arrived this morning, and all i can say its well worth the £20, tbh, i would even pay 40 for it. now i can replay shenmue 1/2 again. ][]
Also, if you're looking to buy a VGA box now then most of them have an S-Video output built in.
Just so everyone knows, the quality increases thus: RF - composite - S-Video - RGB Scart - VGA
