ok, but as I said before, qbert for example can be found in both white & black label, so how's that?

And oops might have a good point since there are clearly 2 versions of packaging on more than a few games.

Until I see further proof I will go with his theory. ;)

I have never seen a white QBert release. ebay, google etc. all black labeled.
Do you know any others games with both labels? Please tell me and I'll look for it.

This is just a boxshot. I never saw a white retail copy (on a photo).

your point?

so you say someone has actually gona through all the trouble of making the black part white (in this pic) but you're convinced you'll still get a black copy if you order it? or did I misunderstand?

its not coz you never saw it, it doesn't exist

This is an early boxshot. The game under development as SEGA changed the color. Maybe you should ask the seller. They looked at google and copied the first best image. I never saw games with black AND white covers so far. I'm collecting NTSC-U games too. If you find games with both labels please let me know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's like some of the PAL promotional cover (e.g. Quake III Arena, Sonic Shuffle, Outtrigger etc.). SEGA Europe send discs out to the press with "still under development" cover. So the magazines and (web)shops could use it for previews and pre-order.

ok, you got a point there, with it being a stock pic & all; I'm hoping to clear it out (for myself also), so I sent a msg to an ebay (power) seller to ask if the actual item is white or black.
and if not, I'll prolly might end up buying it, coz the pic actually has to be what you offer (says so in the terms of use). then after it arrives I send them a mail telling its not the same as in the pic & I usually get some of my money back. it worked only last week with a pink controller that had a minor other detail

Was it listed as red, or was it missing the pink controller plug (replaced with a white one)?

If it was the latter...then that was probably my old pink one I swiped the plug off of and sent back in circulation over ebay

nope, the pink one in the pic they posted was the pink japanese millennium one. in stead I got a regular pink one (which was fine by me, coz I didn't have that one yet).
I sent em a mail that both the controller & box have minor differences. the guy appologized & gave me a partial refund, so it was a win-win situation for me ;)
