i'm still working on the game.. I've pretty much completed it on heroic, but Legendary is still proving impossible haha.

I'd rather have them remake Halo 3 WITH GUNS I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THIS TIME...

"Guns you can hear" what do you mean mate? I love this remake its fookin awesome. I'd forgotten how great the original campaign was and its just great fun playing it again. Though I kid you not the Kinect voice features are THE MOST infuriating thing I've ever encountered, bar none... I'm litterally running along playing co-op with my mate, I say "Fucking Hell look at that big bastard Covenant!" or something like that and the Kinect tells master chief to lob a plasma grenade which, seeing as Halo 1 had friendly fire, meant he was dead in a big way as it stuck to his back! lol. its actually pretty entertaining to have the Kinect thing do stuff like that. I shouted bollocks once and it thought I wanted to go into the library and quit the game, and it frequently throws grenades at bizarre and random moments while I'm discussing stratergy with my mate lol. But I must admit the graphics are better than I innitially expected, although the human character models are still woefully unlifelike!

Now, it seems to be a 5.1 issue. And as mentioned in that thread, ANYTHING is louder than your gunfire. Footsteps, combat dialogue 10 feet away. Its horrible and breaks immersion. Now, no reviews have mentioned this and I refuse to believe this was how Bungie intentioned the sound mix in the game to be. Especially after watching the Extras disc and seeing the section on Audio. They showed a scene with different sound layers over it, and the weapons fire was quite clear, loud and sharp. A very, very noticeable difference from what my game experience is.

I play the game on standard settings via HDMI on my LCD and I didn't experience any odd sound problems, I need to check it out again tomorrow when I'm off work though

Now that you know you will not enjoy the game half as much as before.

Guns should sound like real guns, not NERF guns...

Lemme know your thoughts once you tried it...

don't see how it will ruin my play I never noticed a problem in the first place lol! I'm sure if it were as bad as you say I would have noticed not hearing my guns over the dialogue or other ambient noises etc

ok well I will let you know what happens when I play it again, to be fair on Sunday we played it for the first time and I used my turtle beach headset, I think! so I'm not sure now lol

I love the look of Halo 4 weapons.

Can't wait for this game!
