For a start IVY and TAKI have weapons, and would you be doing new sprites from scratch for these characters?
Yeah i will be doing the characters on my own. I want to finalized the 12 characters. so i can then move on to movesets and frame animations because I dont want to be in the middle and then have to change the characters around. or cancel some. Man Hours are precious especially when its one person contributing all these man hours.

And as far as the weapons go it can work. i just dont want to have to many characters with weapons. hey yoshimitsu is in tekken and he has a sword yet hes not the best character in the series. I just have to set priorities of certain moves. thats what im planning to do.

But now that i see some of these list the characters that might be cut from my list might be Jack or Claire

Sprite Rotoscoping is a Process where Sprites are traced over a 3D or real Persons frames. It looks better and It speeds up the Process by half because with regular sprites you have to hand draw each frame, color and size and it has to be properly coloured.
