or: you can actually buy it, & report it to ebay afterwards. you'll end up with a dreamcast AND a refund :)
I did send them a message informing them it's just a Dreamcast painted silver. They probably have no clue as they don't specialize in video games. They sell games, train sets, decorations, etc...
thats not the point, selling fake stuff isn't allowed on ebay, as a seller you should doublecheck stull before putting it up

True. I just checked the auction though and it looks like the seller ended the auction because of my message.

Just found another fake! This time it's a "Special Edition Sega Sports" Saturn.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Special-Edition ... 800wt_1396

The Sega Sports sticker is crooked for goodness sake!

SEGA Sports? Really? On a saturn, that has all those official madden / etc sports games?

How impossibly retarded. Whoever painted that just proved to the world they know nothing about sega's past handlings and their sports game development.

I've worked with pompeyparsons before, and that is a very intelligent seller. I do hope they understand.

He already ended the auction a couple days ago (I assume you're talking about the Saturn). The Dreamcast was ended a bit after I sent the seller a message.

You didn't need to be that brutal, he is after all just a reselling merchant :D He even claimed in the original description that he searched for info about the system and didn't know anything about it.

I recently tried the buy-sell video game thing using eBay as a starter place to make a mock up standard of what it might be like to live off of of sales of used video games. You have to rely on pure luck to get a decent income.

I still like the idea of opening up my own game shop although... Oh I'll dream for ever.
