Funny, your status is 'quantic dream'...

Admittedly, graphics and play mechanics were not top notch. But as a whole, the game was very nice and very atmospheric. Cyberpunk at its best...

People that like Blade Runner, Syndicate, Syndicate Wars, Shadowrun, Deus Ex and the likes should feel right at home. And it's got Bowie for cryin' out loud!...
ha, David Bowie is one of the biggest reasons i like the game. the music fit the game pretty well. it is a good game and that is why i used it for my rank, but its not for everyone and its fairly easy to see why many people would be turned off by it a touch.

I really wanted to like omikron but it played so bad I couldn't continue playing.
The graphics sucked but it still seemed like the dreamcast is having a hard time running it

well daniel116 it does run poorly compared to some other games. the main reason for this is Omikron is a windows CE port of the PC games. many of the WinCE PC ports didn't run as smooth as they could've.

Ain't that the truth. But why is that btw when it comes to DC titles that are ported with Win CE? And why even use Win CE on DC if they don't run smoothly. Sorry if my question in treading away from the topic...

You're now my new favorite poster.

It's kind of hard to say what games aren't so popular for a system that wasn't too popular…

I like the two Evolution games a lot. They're pretty repetitive, but enjoyable.

i cant say for sure, but i speculate that they suffer the same issues as any port. often ported games have performance issues in general. it is up to the developers to optimize the games to the hardware that they are intended for. the main appeal of Win CE is that windows 95 and 98 games could be ported to the Dreamcast easily using it, so developers could save money by using Win CE instead of making the game from the ground up.
