the manual says you get 3 continues and thats it but I swear i got the option to continue about 4 times

I'm pretty sure the continue screen only comes up twice but I could be wrong. I don't think it's four times though. Anyway, the competition is for your final score after you've exhausted all your continues.

ok cool, because all I did was start a fresh save and go straight into arcade mode, it DEFINITELY gave me more than 2 continues but I will try it again tomorrow to see

Only three days left in the competition. Let's see those high scores people!

you might need to extend this one buddy, I've got a busy week this week and I doubt I will get the chance to plug nearly an hour into this one!

Yeah, I was thinking of that anyway. I'll go ahead and extend it another week.

cool, now what do I do if it just keeps giving me continues? because I SWEAR I got 3-4 continues, it just kept coming up when I ran out of time saying CONTINUE? and I never touched any of the options, I don't even think there is one that would change that option!

I would like to participate in this one, but i'm currently away from my Dreamcast

Yeah, there isn't option to change the number of continues. If you keep getting them then apparently you earned them somehow.

ok here is my result, it actually only gave me 2 continues this time,

my score is 498900
my accuracy was 81%
team contribution was 84%

the team contribution is a bit fuzzy for some reason but you can clearly see the score next to it which corresponds in 1000's, so its 84000pts which means 84%. anyway hopefully that's ok! Took about an hour!!
