Tell them you are going to sent a letter to every possible magazine, and online, saying how their policy works and how their 'insurance' is in fact worth nothing at all if things don't get worked out soon. Remain polite, but make them feel that not giving you a reasonable solution will only hurt them more in the end...

By the way, no need to be sexist like that. I'm sure she has a shitty job with minimum wage and she's just as fed up with disgruntled customers as you are with employees like her...
