I'll give a thorough explanation. While it was modern, SEGA released official DLC for the Dreamcast. This stuff isn't homebrew, it's the real deal. Since most of the sites on which this DLC originated are down, some people put the DLC on their own websites. You don't need the SD card. Just go to the website with the DC web browser and you can download it directly to the VMU. Don't be surprised you didn't know about these before; even Adam Koralik didn't know about them!
You can find all the files here. Some really great stuff here! Extra tracks for Samba De Amigo, various events and character themes for Sonic Adventure, exclusive weapons for Skies of Arcadia. Check it out!
Are there any other active or semi-active dreamcast forums?

I was aware of that route actually. I just wanted to know if such an avenue with the SD adapter was possible. I also don't have dial up serivce so I don't really know other options I have with regards to going online with my DC to download said content...

Re: Are there any other active or semi-active dreamcast foru
DCEmulation.org is pretty much the oldest still active Dreamcast site around (considering its legacy as the old .com). Most of the English-speaking homebrew developers that are still around hang out there. Plus, there's still a semi-active community of people who have hung around, whether or not they still do anything Dreamcast-related. Its the first forum I ever joined on the Internet, and its basically been my home on the Internet for the past 10 years now. All around a great place.
That said, we (I'm an admin over there) don't allow discussion of any sort of warez or anything else like that. I'm not trying to get into any sort of moral argument, so I'll just cut it off there.

Ah, my mistake. In that case, there are several free dial-up numbers you can find online. The problem is that unless you're in the area, you're going to be charged for a long distance call. They also give a shoddy connection. Not recommended for online multiplayer, but great for downloading DLC. I imagine the SD card would work too, provided the corresponding software allows transfer to the VMU.CD AGES wrote:I was aware of that route actually. Jesus guys, do you not know about Theisozone? We have quite possibly the most active Dreamcast community on the net, and I mean that very much.
Here is the Dreamcast sub-forum
http://www.theisozone.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=24
Here is our games section which has all US, and most European games. We have the largest homebrew and emulator and SD-ISO section you will find, not to mention over 140 bleem games.

After Megaupload and Snesorama went down, we have had an influx of users migrating from other sites. We have 13,000+ members and its growing every day. I stay busy over there moderating each and every day and naver take a day off it seems.

speaking of snesorama Anthony817 I was wondering did you happen to save the info on how to change the LBA for shenmue II 1ST_READ.BIN on my blog before the site went down for good?Anthony817 wrote:After Megaupload and Snesorama went down, we have had an influx of users migrating from other sites. Re: Are there any other active or semi-active dreamcast foru
is the OC still active? I'd be surprised if it is, what with Nikon being the strictest moderator/board owner I have EVER had the displeasure of dealing with!!
I think there are still some people talking DC over on SCHThack and Silverant but I could be way off as I haven't been there in a few months

I found him strict, but not unpleasant. The OC forum is really quite inactive. I don't know how active their online community is, though.

He was just pretty unreasonable, he wasn't exactly unpleasant I just found the fact that he was so strict made going there and talking an rubbish experience, its not like any of us are trouble makers right? I was only ever just trying to make interesting conversation and to investigate things I wanted to learn, and in the end it just because a massive drag and I gave up

@Superrayman3, That is something you should ask atreyu187 over at TIZ. We have lots of smart people in the DC community there, and it is the ReviveDC headquarters, and those guys know their stuff on hacking releases.
