sounds like he is saying that it was the British who influenced your country way back when, but i agree with you. we still influence you guys to use, or at least understand MPH and our other standard units of measure like feet and inches. it seems that the US is the minority and perhaps we should adopt the more accurate metric system? anyway back to topic i'm 5 foot 10
