Has anyone looked into Toy Racer? I just figured out that it was an online game; I didn't even realize that! Supposedly it supports the broadband adapter too? Can anyone confirm that?

We looked a bit into it, if you use dial up it requires dreamarena authentication, which hasn't been cracked completely...

But if you use a BBA it avoids that and lets you enter an IP just the same as Bomberman Online, thing is we don't know how the server proceeds then so...

Perhaps it uses SNAP servers, the ones for outrigger, but those haven't been figured out yet.

I may recall something about the developers of toy racer using that charity game to test the quake 3 arena server infrstructure so perhaps it uses a modified version of Q3 server?

This probably sounds impossible, but could Propeller Arena or Daytona USA 2001 be brought back? What about the Matching Service games like MVC2 or Alpha 3?

Most likely not, I would assume some of the easiest games to get back up online would be old games that use gamespy servers.

Capcom vs SNK 2 or Zero 3 online, on Dreamcast via broadband are literally my biggest fantasies....

...shame it probably can never happen.

I know Bomberman Online and Unreal were both BBA supported. I wonder if there is any way to get those back online in the future. I know bomberman doesn't have direct dial, but the BBA ... who knows.
