No i can't, the line is unused, there isn't any service tied to it so i can't use it.
My only optionis the PC-DC server wich i will try tomorrow, if it doesn't work then i will askkindly to my father to share the line on the other side of the house, that will require some holes in the wals and some extensions.
Because if the telephone is connected to the modem then so can the dreamcast.

Kireek, I'm sorry to hear this. I think everyone is starting to go to voip because it is a lot cheaper. You can try to use a isp through the voip service, it might work. Or there is the PC-DC server. And there is always the broadband adapter.
On a side note, you guys are lucky. I have Vonage voip and it doesn't work with a free isp that I tried. So I had to get a bba.

what my mom and i have is not like vonage or magic jack. its more like a real phone but through the cable company. my mom has a something like a modem that her phone is plugged into. mine is plugged into the normal phone jack, how ever the cable company did some work under the house. so i am not sure what they did!

Umm I guess you have cable, when you get t.v, internet, and phone through one cable and then the modem splits them up

that's what i have, i can ask my father to split the line just like he did with the telephone before, but that requires some drills.
Another option is for me to move the console and tv into another divison, wich is not the best option.
PC-DC server seems a very handy option. i will try that later.
EDIT: tried switching the telephone with the dreamcast, while connecting online with pso it tell me that the line is busy. how come?
EDIT 2:
Tried the DC-PC thing, changed the settings on the dreamcast, changed the registry entries but i got stuck here:
I don't get the 1st option at all.

It doesn't have to say lucent win modem. Most pc's have different brands on them so whatever yours is, it should be fine.
