I love looking at these lists, some amazing collections. My own is around 350 games, though I've never counted them. Funny thing is that I never considered myself to be a collector, I just bought about three games a month for the last ten years and, voila!, I had this huge amount of games
I still hanker after a few things, namely Border Down, Rainbow Cotton, the complete fishing game collection and an official watch for my Densha De Go controller(I just do!). Also I want to make sure I have the full collection of unreleased, modded and homebrew games.

that was how I got with the Dreamcast, I would just buy 2 or 3 a month etc but then the console got canned and EVERYTHING dropped below £10/£5 and I just started hording

kinda impossible if you take into account that BOR has 1001 different mods or so

So true ! I'll pick and choose carefully, say twenty of them.
I heard there was an Asterix mod for BOR, I'd love to get my hands on that.

That's a nice little starter collection you have there
There's a helluva lot of great games missing from that list though ! Have you thought about what you want next ?

Thanks mate
Like i said, I had a nice collection when i was younger!
Not more then 30 games i guess, but still a nice mix of games!
Over the years ive just started to really admire the Dreamcast!
It brings so many good memories back to head when we
where in the 7th grade and played Shenmue!
I remember we where sitting at my house, me and 4-5 others
and just "

" when we saw the games! None have seen
anything like that before!
Im therefor building up the liberary again to refresh all those memories!
My favorite game, Shenmue is on its own shelf obove my TV!
(Picture will come soon)
I dont know what my next item in the collection is!
I want to buy a BBA and start playing some PSO again (wich I have not in 8 years).
Then i will need all the to get SA 2, JSR and VT again!
How about you, whats your next item in the collection?
Any rare overpriced Item at Ebay you have in consideration?

Do I detect a touch of sarcasm there ? "Any rare overpriced item at Ebay you have in consideration?"
Yeah, well I guess a lot of stuff I want is overpriced but I tend to look out for the bargains first and, if a game appeals, I'll wait until it's available at the right price

I'd say 80% of my games cost less than £5 but then, like you say, you have to up the budget to get the rarer stuff. There are still bargains to be had, but it can take a lot of searching. Something like Border Down can cost between £100-£600 so obviously, unless you are extremely rich, it's probably best to burn a copy. But something like Tokyo Bus Guide is available for £10 or JSR for £5 so they're affordable with pocket money so worth having proper copies.
I like the row of Shenmue games taking pride of place in your collection

. I'm a big Shenmue fan too and I think it's still as stunning now as it was over ten years ago, just a wonderful series. Most people on here think the same thing ! Have you got US Shenmue ? I couldn't see the pic very well as it's quite grainy. Anyway, it was a japanese, english language, limited edition version of Shenmue 1 and you can get hold of it quite cheap(at least you
could at one time).
One game I really do want at the moment is Evil Twin. I sold my copy and regretted it ever since. Plenty of others but, yeah they are RARE and OVERPRICED !!

mine is still sealed, and its staying that way, whenever I want to play it, I just pop in my white label
besides what you said bout the overpriced thing is only partially true; its just a question of offer & demand. from my own (collectors) pov its sometimes better to buy something thats a little overpriced in stead of waiting waiting waiting until hopefully it'll pop up cheap. in the end this can take a few years & if you still haven't found your item cheap, what's on offer will now cost twice the (already) overpriced ammount they were asking years ago. in the end you'll end up buying that out of sheer frustration.
better to have something & pay for it, than not having it at all. I too have to save up for some items from time to time coz they're expensive, but its all the more fun when they arrive in the end.
stuff like this separates collectors from...well also collectors. not that the first kind is "better" than the latter, its just bout how far you're willing to go
